Terrence Cortelli Commended by Rockland Bar Association

Terrence Cortelli recently volunteered his time to help students from Clarkstown South learn how to be successful trial attorneys.  This year's program, which was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, revolved around a fact pattern wherein a high school student's newspaper article about his principal.  The issue was whether the student defamed the principal or whether the article merely constituted an opinion, which is protected speech under the Constitution.  The students, guided Mr. Cortelli, competed against other local high schools and were close to competing for the New York State championships in Albany.
