
On Monday, October 31st, a 25- year old truck driver carrying milk swerved off Interstate 86 in Erwin, New York. The tractor trailer tipped over onto it's side and slide a few hundred feet before crashing into a tree at 3am.
The cab of the truck took the brunt of the impact, killing John Stinson-Rogers. Both milk and diesel fuel began spilling out of the trailer, which resulted in the Department of Environmental Conservation to bring in investigators to help with the clean up of the fuel.
The tractor trailer accident caused Interstate 86 to close the westbound lanes for 8 hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
