Match.com Lawsuit Information: What Is A Class Action Lawsuit?

At the beginning of January, The law firm of Lever & Stolzenberg, LLP, filed a class action lawsuit against the popular online dating website Match.com. According to the lawsuit, the dating site uses a number of deceptive practices in order to obtain new customers and to retain old customers who are disenchanted with their service.

Both former users of the personals website and former employees at the internet company have claimed that Match.com exaggerates the number of singles profiles on their site, does not remove spammer profiles, and does not remove inactive profiles. In addition, the dating site will trick users into renewing their membership by making them believe that there are a number of singles interested in their profile when that is not the case.
