Queens Worker Killed In Dry Cleaning Plant Accident

New York wrongful death attorneys and personal injury attorneys are already crying foul after a woman was killed while working at a dry cleaning plant in Jamacia, Queens.

According to American Laundry News, Limin Min Huang was feeding towels into an industrial iron when her scarf was caught in the machine, dragging her in and crushing her body. The woman had worked at An Huan Laundry for three years before the on-the-job accident took place.

Unfortunately, workplace accidents in plants like these are far too common, with many employers not properly training employees, not following federal safety regulations, or not properly maintaining their equipment. At this point it is unclear whether or not the fatal dry cleaning accident could have been prevented or whether the woman was provided with any safety gear; however, most employers have rules forbidding loose clothing like scarves to be worn while operating heavy machinery.
