NYC Bus & Truck Collision Leave Five Injured In Queens

A dramatic three-vehicle accident in Queens, New York last week was caused by mechanical problems with a city bus, the driver of the bus said.

According to the New York Post, the accident occurred in Hollis when a bus barreled off of the exit ramp of the Clearview Expressway and onto Hillside Avenue, totally out of control. The bus slammed into an SUV, a minivan, and a tractor-trailer, all of which were left tangled in the roadway.

Five people were seriously injured in the bus and truck accident, though all were reported in stable condition at the hospital in the hours after the crash. All of the car accident victims were rushed to New York Hospital in Queens for treatment. Witnesses said that they were shocked that no one was killed in the accident – and relieved that no pedestrians were in the area when the big rig was pushed onto the sidewalk.
