Following in the wake of the massive
Toyota defective car recall, this week the Nissan Motor Company recalled 135,000 Infinity G35 car models due to a possibly defective airbag. The automaker announced that the affected models include the G35 Coupes from 2005, 2006, and 2007 as well as the G35 Sedans from model years 2005 and 2006.
The car company announced that a problem with the wife harness on the passenger side
airbag could be defective and cause the airbag not to deploy at the time of an accident.
At this time, Nissan does not have a plan on how to recall and repair the issues, though they told customers with airbag warning lights on to bring their car into a Nissan dealer for assistance. A detailed plan for the
defective auto part recall will be given to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and put underway in the next two months.
