Terrence James Cortelli, born in the Bronx, now resides in Pearl River, New York, with his wife and two small children.

He graduated from Fordham University in 1997 and then from Pace University School of Law in 2001. At Pace Law School, he was an associate editor of the Environmental Law Review.

After graduating with Honors from law school, Mr. Cortelli was then invited to work at the New York State Court of Appeals, the state's highest appellate Court. For two years, Mr. Cortelli worked at that Court, assisting the Court resolve an assortment of civil and constitutional matters of state-wide import, all the while developing a strong set of writing skills.

Mr. Cortelli then went to work for one of the nation's largest litigation firms where he represented clients in a wide array of lawsuits. Although his primary focus was on construction accidents, Mr. Cortelli also worked on matters involving products liability, assault, and constitutional violation claims. His practice was also comprised of representing clients involved in motor vehicle accidents.

Now, Mr. Cortelli handles the day-to-day litigation activities of our clients' lawsuits, which include attending Court conferences and taking deposition testimony. Mr. Cortelli is responsible for drafting legal briefs that are needed in the various lawsuits that we currently are pursuing.  Mr. Cortelli is also responsible for our appellate practice and has successfully handled a number of appeals for the firm.

He is currently general counsel for the Rockland County Haitian American Nurses Association. 

For fun, Mr. Cortelli is an avid ice-hockey player. He also likes to jog, read and play with his two children, who are slowly becoming better athletes than him.
